Weekly History Wrap-Up: 12/31/10.

Funeral services were held this week for local Marine, Lance Corporal William Crouse, killed on December 21 in Afghanistan.

The remains of Air Force Major Thomas Beyer were positively identified and returned to the States for services.  Beyer’s aircraft was lost over Quang Tri, Vietnam on July 30, 1968.

The Civilian Military Intelligence Group offered some interesting thoughts on Hitler’s bail out of Mussolini in North Africa.

Cheers to the New Jersey State Archives who just this week announced a database for those searching for info on Garden State service men killed in World War I.  Awesome!

And how about your favorite 100 war movies of all time?
