Weekly History Wrap-Up: 11/19/10.

Oh, where have the days gone?  It’s Friday again and time for the History Junkie’s Weekly Wrap-Up.

First up, Fox Lake, Illinois has a fab program running called Meet-A-Vet Day.  I love it!  Thanks Cooter for bringing it to us.

Wow!  Shelby County, Iowa has got it right.  Their Historical Society has put together an awesome veterans display.  Look at all those pics.  Makes me want to go visit … and a little jealous.

We just don’t hear enough from the great state of Delaware.  So when this morsel on Revolutionary War vet, David Hall, came across my plate, I had to bite.  Plus, I love old houses.

Julianna over at Standing Up and Fighting Back brings us a truly spirited call out for the ladies.

And last, but certainly not least.  This week President Obama awarded the Medal of Honor to Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta.  He is the first living recipient since the Vietnam War.  A Very Big Deal!  Much thanks Sgt. Giunta.

See Ya Next Week!
